In 1997, with the assistance of the PTKB TsP MPS of Russia and CJSC PIK PRO-GRESS, the plant mastered the repair of passenger cars with conversion into track inspection cars of the TsNII-4 system.

High-speed track inspection station TsNII-4 With non-contact data acquisition is designed for continuous monitoring of the geometric parameters of the track in plan and profile under dynamic load, the condition of the main and station tracks, assessing the state of the track at the road and network level.

The track survey station can operate both as part of fast and passenger trains, and with a separate locomotive at speeds up to 140 km/h. It controls more than 20 railway track parameters, some of which are determined directly during the trip, and some are calculated after it based on the data received. The consumers of information are railway track services, road diagnostic centers, design organizations, track distances and the track and facilities department of the Ministry of Railways of Russia.

The track survey station includes:

  • Control room, saloon, diesel room, electrical panel room, residential compartments, conductor compartments, kitchen, boiler room, toilet, vestibule, control and computer complex.

The new modification of the TsNII-4M track survey station has significantly improved technical characteristics.

The modification of the TsNII-4MD track survey station is additionally equipped with optical measuring systems for lateral rail wear, butt gaps, rail temperature, and a system for measuring irregularities on the rail tread.

Modification of the TsNII-4MG track survey station additionally assesses the condition of the dimensions of the internal surfaces of railway tunnels. Software and mathematical software allows you to get a real spatial map of the inner surface of the tunnel and its difference from the project.
