Specialized container model 1SS-EGK-2?80 according to TU BY 400069471.042-2018 (hereinafter referred to as the energy container) is designed for autonomous centralized power supply of large-capacity refrigerated containers installed on railway flat cars when they are put into a freight train. It is also allowed to operate the equipment installed in the energy container with the stationary placement of the energy container for industrial use.

The operation of the energy container equipment is completely autonomous, without maintenance personnel, while maintaining the main parameters within the specified limits for the set time (up to 500 hours).

The energy container is equipped with remote control and remote monitoring systems, which are controlled via terrestrial GSM networks.

The remote monitoring system allows you to track: the location of the energy container using GPS / Glonass navigation; operating parameters of DGU (diesel generator set); state of the fire extinguishing system; fuel level in the auxiliary fuel tank; the presence (absence) of fuel leakage in the additional fuel tank; functioning of the diesel generator set (working or stopped); switching power connectors of the energy container, etc.

The remote control system allows you to: start and stop each DGU; switching power connectors between two diesel generator sets; turn on and off the heating of the fuel filters of the DGU, etc.

The container design of the product is necessary to ensure the protection of diesel power plants and engineering systems from adverse environmental influences, as well as for the comfortable work of maintenance personnel during maintenance and repair work.

It is allowed to transport the energy container by sea, river and road transport.

The energy container is equipped on the basis of a typical 1CC type container (20 feet).

The energy container contains:

  • two diesel generator sets (hereinafter referred to as DGU),
  • Additional diesel storage tank
  • fuel system for automatic fuel replenishment of DGU consumable tanks,
  • Electrical panel with built-in system for remote control of electrical equipment operation and monitoring of DGU,
  • lighting system, automatic fire extinguishing system, ventilation system.
  • The DGUs are installed with a nominal power of 100 kVA (80 kW) each.

The fuel system of the energy container consists of two supply tanks with a capacity of about 200 liters each, which are included in the set, as well as an additional fuel tank with a capacity of about 6000 liters. The auxiliary fuel tank is double-jacketed to prevent fuel leakage. It is possible to fill an additional fuel tank both from the outside of the container and through open end doors through a standard Camlock type device (quick coupling for a tanker).

To cool the energy container, a ventilation system is provided, which includes two supply air dampers and two air dampers for exhaust air discharge from the DGU radiator cooling system. Opening and closing of air dampers occurs automatically from the signal for commissioning the diesel generator set.

To ensure fire safety and measures to prevent the occurrence of fire, a fire extinguishing installation is located in the energy container, in agreement with the customer, or aerosol, or gas, or powder type.

In order to insulate all the walls, floor, roof and doors of the energy container, thermal insulation t. 80 - 100 mm, which is sheathed with steel sheets, was installed from the inside.

On one of the side walls of the energy container, there are two power line connectors for power supply to refrigerated containers. Each genset provides power supply to any of the connectors, so that if one of the gensets fails, the working genset will supply power to both connectors in turn.

When the container is in reserve, to continuously maintain the systems in working order, it is possible to connect to an external 230V network via a cable. At the same time, automatic recharging of the DGU batteries, heating of the DGU systems and the electrical panel in the winter, as well as powering the 230V socket on the electrical panel for maintenance and repair of container systems are provided.

The presence of certificates of approval issued by the Maritime Register of Shipping allows you to operate this container both on railway lines and on a stationary basis.
